Programs that Make a Difference

National and international programs approved by the Ministry of National Education are applied in TED Corlu College. These are;

  • YoungLearners, KET and PET applications, which are international English language proficiency exams,
  • "Bilingual" education applied in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades within the scope of the "Weighted Foreign Language Program",
  • One hour English mathematics lesson and one hour English science lesson education in 4th and 5th grades to prepare for secondary school,
  • Under the name of "Vocational Orientation Program", it is the work to direct students to IGCSE, AS / A-Level and YGS / LYS programs in line with their interests, abilities and academic achievements.

Cambridge International General Secondary Education Certificate (IGCSE)

It is one of the most recognized certificates worldwide. The Cambridge IGCSE program is a learning process aimed at problem solving, including remembering information and verbal skills. It integrates all vital educational skills, including teamwork and research skills. The acquisitions gained at the end of all these processes prepare the student for higher education programs such as Cambridge AS / A Level, Abitur, IB Diploma, Advanced International Certificate.

The IGCSE program consists of "Basic Curriculum" CORE (standard level) and "Extended Program" EXTENDED (advanced level) programs that target different skill levels in many different subjects. In the second term of the 10th grade, students take the exam that is suitable for their level with the direction of the course teacher.

TED – Canada Student Exchange Program

Within the scope of the Canadian Education Agreement signed between the Turkish Education Association and the Government of Canada, all TED School students have the right to attend the intercultural student exchange program and receive their equivalence, to continue their education at TED Schools again and to receive a double diploma.

Program; It aims to provide students with good English and the opportunity to study university abroad, while creating opportunities for students, their families and host families to deepen understanding and respect for different cultures and discover the realities of humanity.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (UBDP)

Teaching in TED Schools is an organic process that is individualized according to the student, shaped in line with the needs, supported and monitored by teacher guidance and technology. The process includes curricula created by differentiating products and content, national and international values, scales and standards. The main purpose of universally valid IB programs is to raise individuals with an international understanding. International monitoring and authorization of the practices supports the self-assessment process of the institution and the practices are constantly updated.

In addition to the diploma given by the Ministry of National Education in our country, UBDP, which provides students with an internationally recognized diploma, is an adaptable program that allows changes according to the educational needs of the countries where it is applied and is officially recognized by the Ministry of National Education.

UBDP, besides its academic success, students; It aims to raise self-discipline, acquire high-level thinking skills, adopt continuous learning as a way of life, be conscious of their social responsibilities, know and understand different cultures, and be raised as “citizens of the world”. Students participating in UBDP, which is the symbol of academic credibility and intellectual thought, are proudly accepted by distinguished universities around the world and the best universities of our country.

Successful students who graduate from this program, which requires a broad and fairly intensive study, college entrance examination in addition to achieving success diploma degrees according to the best universities in scholarship right to read and loans around the world and in Turkey (course exemption) they win. T.R. The government does not allow applications to domestic universities with only the UB diploma. However, the universities abroad, there is the possibility of application and acceptance into the university entrance exams in Turkey.

The Advanced Placement (AP))

The Advanced Placement (AP) program, also known as the Advanced Placement Program, is a powerful, comprehensive and hard-working program that is implemented in the United States of America (USA) and spread from there to the whole world, aiming for excellence in education. AP Program is implemented and recognized in more than 60 countries outside of the USA.

The AP Program provides students with the opportunity to take university-level courses while in high school and to be exempt from these courses at the university. Especially in the acceptance phase of the students abroad university applications, the fact that a student has taken AP courses and successfully passed the exams during high school is considered as an indicator of their readiness for academic education.

Students who take AP courses and pass the exams are more advantageous than students who apply to universities in the standard application process, and also have the chance to be exempt from these courses when they start university. In addition, they can study more easily in double major programs.

Educational Excellence (BTEC)

BTEC, which is carried out with more than 4 million students in 110 countries around the world, is applied only in TED Schools in our country. BTEC program, which stands for educational excellence and accepted by Edexcel, the largest accreditation institution in England in transition to universities abroad, is a practice-oriented, practical and vibrant education model that aims to provide students with professional competencies.

With BTEC programs, it is aimed to equip students with the skills necessary for entering higher education, to gain competencies related to the professions they dream of, and to make them preferred individuals for the leading companies of the sector. This program, which is accepted by European, USA, Asian and Australian universities and companies around the world, has been continuously developed and renewed and designed in accordance with the needs of the learner, employer and the age.

In addition to having an internationally valid certificate, students who have completed the program have the opportunity to directly admit to the undergraduate (HND) program in England.

Scientist Training Program (BİYP)

Aiming to raise students who have made scientific thinking a way of life, the application and research-oriented "Scientist Training Program" enriched the education and training activities of students with high academic performance, based on research, application and productivity; It is a four-year program consisting of two departments, Science and Social Sciences, in which it is trained with an understanding of learning based on school-university cooperation.

Science and a researcher spirit in the field of Social Sciences, productive, assimilate scientific thought and these features have made a lifestyle of students who aims to educate "Scientist Training Program" with the Board of Education's approval is applied for the first time at TED schools in Turkey.

The "Scientist Training Program" is based on research, practice and productivity, enriching the education and training studies of students with high academic performance; It is a four-year program consisting of two departments, Science and Social Sciences, in which it is trained with an understanding of learning based on school-university cooperation. In the Scientist Training Program, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics lessons are taught in English as in our other programs.

Students who graduate from the Science Department of the program have the same rights as the students who graduated from the Science Department of the National High School Program during the university entrance exams, and the students who graduated from the Social Sciences department of the National High School Program have the same rights as the students who graduated from the Turkish-Mathematics Department of the National High School Program.
